Thanks to everyone who played in a heavy chess competition weekend at the Fuller Craft January Quad. We had several new players, and we had some superb knockouts scored by the two kids Noah Brauner and Alex Mayo (who played in his first USCF-rated tournament this weekend). Please join us this Thursday for the Fuller Craft Chess Club’s inaugural Blitz Tournament this Thursday 2/2 4-8 PM. We’ll find out while we’re playing whether the Groundhog saw his shadow.
$200 guaranteed cash prizes! This is the first tournament I have ever directed ANYWHERE with guaranteed cash prizes.
Finally, please mark on your calendar Saturday 4/29/17 for our next G/30 d5 QUAD. We’ll try to get more players and a bigger cash cow for some really neat and cool money prizes.
