Final Standings, Concord-Carlisle SCS 2017-2018, 11-18-2017

Fellow SCS Chess Players,

After a disappointing turnout at my first SCS event back in September, I’m pleased beyond measure to have rebounded so abundantly, with 25 players participating, at the Concord-Carlisle SCS. Although it was tight for the 14U Section, we eked out enough to get three separate Sections. I’m especially happy to report that this is the best attended Club SCS so far in the 2017-2018 season.

Isaac Gordon in 11U and Alexander Tran in 8U both extended their massive SCS Point leads. They may be virtually unstoppable at this point.

Our next two tournaments are in 2018: Sundays 3/25 and 6/10. And I am directing the two remaining Club SCS at Boylston CF on Sunday 1/21/2018 and at Chess Empire Kids in Wakefield on Sunday 2/25/2018.
