Fellow Concord-Carlisle players,

We did a much better job advertising this Ladder event than the last one, and it paid off! Thanks to the 19 players who played enthusiastically and with excellent sportsmanship in this Ladder. It has taken about a year for me to get this format down successfully, and I am happy to say this was a smooth-running event with excellent participation. Thanks to David West for his exemplary help in getting this together. (A mini shout-out also to the custodian Cameron for assisting me with break-down at the end.)

I was pleased to have two of my students, Ziv Dudnik (a repeat from last month) and Antonio Feng join us from my class in Newton. Both of them will be on my Teams at the Winter Team Challenge in January.

We had an older new player, Uri Netzer, join us for his first tournament. Apparently he has some skill that needs to apply itself in future tournaments, because he went 3.5-0.5 and will (eventually) take home the 3rd Place Points Trophy.

Winners:

Ladder:

1st: Jayden Wu
2nd: Brandon Li
3rd: Gentry Thatcher

Points:

1st-2nd (tied): Stanley Yu, Yiheng Liu
3rd: Uri Netzer

Our next Ladder Tournament will be on LEAP DAY! 2/29/2020. See you over the board and have a great holiday.
