Calling all chess players and enthusiasts! Starting Thursday, July 13, the quarterly chess club at Fuller Craft Museum is FREE FOR RESIDENTS OF BROCKTON. Now every Thursday 4:00 – 8:00 pm, join us for a time of strategy, intellect, and fun at Fuller Craft Museum. The club will combine casual play and rated games conducted by Nicholas P. Sterling, Ph.D., USCF Chess Tournament Director. Also, we will have a beginners table for players who would like to continue building their skills with puzzles, tactics, and full games. Players under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. This club is organized in collaboration with the Massachusetts Chess Association (MACA) and sponsored in part by the Mass Cultural Council.
Come simply to observe or play to win! You can drop in on any given Thursday to play chess for a drop-in fee of $15 ($12 Museum members), or you can join the club for an introductory monthly fee of $40 (4 consecutive weeks); $32 for Museum members. Drop-ins can register in advance or pay at the door. FREE FOR RESIDENTS OF BROCKTON.
